Alejandro Albor earned himself some kudos from the huge crowd in Las Vegas at the USA Crits Finals last week. The finals were run in conjunction with the Interbike trade show in Vegas, and for many, it was and end-of-season celebration.

The criterium was a big hit, on the heels of "Cross Vegas" two nights earlier. Ian Lawless and Alejandro were on hand representing U.S. Handcycling, and helped gain some exposure for the guys doing the Soldier Ride Desert Challenge, from Phoenix.

Albor rode a few laps of the crit. course with the guys from Soldier Ride to give some exposure to "the big show." Afterwards, he hopped in the massive industry cup race, with all sorts of celebs, including Italian Superstar, Mario Cipollini, who still looks pretty fit after his retirement. Albor hung in for about 5 laps before being pulled (he hung-in longer than ALOT of able-bodied dudes!). "Cipo" meanwhile, rode near the front for the entire race, save the last lap where he supposedly crashed out. He either crashed, or bailed off the course voluntarily....either way, we say "Bravo Cipo!" because had he won the sprint in the industry cup race, that would have been the ultimate sandbagger move!

In any case, Alejandro Albor now has the distinction of being able to say that he in face raced with Mario Cipollini. Sweet!

The next day, we checked out som *pimpin'* gear at Interbike....holy cow....there's some sweet stuff there!
