The Tour de Georgia (TDG) announced today that they will hold a handcycle criterium on Wednesday, April 19th in conjunction with the prestigous international cycling stage race. The City of Rome, Georgia — a major stop for the TDG — will play host to handcyclists for the second year, and the USHF confirmed today that the event will also be a part of the American Handcycle Series. Athletes attending (both in-state and out-of-state) will be eligible for a travel stipend in addition to prize money.
The TDG is one of the biggest cycling events in the world, featuring top professional cyclists from major international pro teams. More details and information will appear on USHF.org in the coming weeks.
