Important information for Junior, U23 and Elite Road Nationals
Attention all USA Cycling road members: the 2008 USA Cycling Junior, U23 and Elite Road Nationals are set for Aug. 6-10 in Anaheim, Calif. This year, USA Cycling has introduced several changes to the race registration procedure after feedback from many of our members. Online registration opens Saturday, June 7. Please read the following information which closely outlines the registration procedures, eligibilty and rules for this year's event.

Tickets now on sale for BMX Olympic Trials
Tickets for the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for BMX Cycling are now available for purchase by the general public, USA Cycling and the U.S. Olympic Committee announced today. Scheduled for June 14, The Olympic Team Trials will feature the top-eight menandrsquo;s 2008 Olympic hopefuls in the sport of BMX with the winner earning an automatic nomination to the squad that will represent the U.S. in Beijing this August. Spectators can purchase tickets online at www.usolympicshops.com, charge-by-phone at 619-482-6120, or in person at the U.S. Olympic Shop at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. Adult tickets are $10.00, while childrenandrsquo;s and senior citizen tickets are $5.00.

2008 USA Cycling Media Guide now available for download
The 2008 USA Cycling Media Guide is now available for download from the USA Cycling website. Designed to serve as a comprehensive resource guide for members of the media, the 2008 USA Cycling Media Guide presents a complete look at American cycling and the sportandrsquo;s national governing body. The five sections of the 268-page guide provide an introduction to the sport and its structure in the U.S.; bios of 2008 U.S. Olympic Team hopefuls and executive, coaching and support staff; a preview of all cycling events at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing; a history of American cycling, U.S. performances and records; domestic and international race calendars and much more.

USA Cycling National Racing Calendar Standings - May 12
With seven menandrsquo;s races and nine womenandrsquo;s events on the 2008 NRC now complete, Rory Sutherland leads the overall individual standings on the men's side while Laura Van Gilder is the current womenandrsquo;s leader. The teams currently atop the standings include the Health Net Pro Cycling Team presented by Maxxis in the menandrsquo;s rankings and the Cheerwine Professional Cycling Team in the womenandrsquo;s. The next race on the USA Cycling National Racing Calendar will be the Mount Hood Cycling Classic, May 13-18. The Bank of America Wilmington Grand Prix is also quickly approaching in Wilmington, Del. on May 17.

Lees-McRae and MIT win team omnium titles
The 2008 USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championships concluded on Sunday as Lees McRae College claimed the overall Division I team title and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology won the overall Division II team championship. Eight individual titles were also awarded on Sunday as the three-day event closed with criterium racing in Old Town Fort Collins.
